Le Salon des Reptiles 2015

NBK Reptiles at Le Salon des Reptiles 2015On  March 7-8th, NBK reptiles was part of the “Salon des Reptiles” in Montreal. That show is educational only and I must say, it was a blast for the whole NBK Crew. We shared our passion with every visitor. I must tell you, there is something about spending time with kids teaching them about the beautiful creatures we love! Everyone that came to the show seemed to have enjoyed themselves!

The reason I am talking about education right now, is because every reptile hobbyist should take some time every year to educate people and especially the future generations. We have just received terrible news in the USA with the Lacey Act, and the only way we can fight back is by spreading the word to everyone and educating them about the beauties and wonders of the reptile world! If we do not do so, we could wake up tomorrow and have the animals we love banned here too…

Think about it!

In this picture, you can see the pioneer Nurhan and the 2 sons; Brian & Kevin! Our father had taught us everything we know about this world, but most importantly, he shared his passion with us which has now become ours!

Live for Passion!

Breeding season almost over

NBK ReptilesHere is a little update of this years’ breeding season. We have a couple of female Ball Pythons which should lay within the next 30 days. This will be it for the Ball Python Season until 2015! We are still hatching out babies and there should be some very interesting stuff coming out of the incubator in the next month or so! So stay tuned! As for colubrids, we are getting a few females to give us a 3rd clutch, AND we have brought out of hibernation our 2nd season of colubrids. This is a first time for us! We will not be getting much in this summer season, but knowing that we will now be producing colubrids year round is quite exciting! We have our Sand boas and our Rainbow boas which are always in the fall, so I will keep you all updated on these! We also had our best year ever in Carpet Pythons! We have some awesome looking Carpets and the future of this project looks quite promising!

Now, I would like to thank everyone that has done business with us in the past year! We have been dealing with the public for a little over a year now and the support has been great! So again, thank you very much – we really appreciate it!

If you have not done business with us OR never met us, make sure to come check out our booths at the 2 biggest show of the year. We will be vending at the WCRE in Red Deer for the very first time. We are very excited to join the lineup for that event! We will also be vending at the CRBE in Toronto this September! I promise to bring the best variety of Captive Bred Reptiles. So make sure to come check us out!

Expo season around the corner

NBK ReptilesWith the Expo Season just around the corner, we are proud to announce you that we will try our best to attend as many shows as we can. We now have a link on our website which will let you know which shows we are planning to attend, as well as the ones we will be confirmed.

We will have a wide range of high quality reptiles exclusively selected for reptile hobbyists. We will offer low to high end reptiles, from the popular Leopard Gecko to the somewhat rare Angolan Python.

If you have a question, we will answer it with the best of our abilities. We also love educating the next generation, so bring your kids over, and we will try to have little gifts for them as well!

Starting 2014 with a Bang!

NBK Reptiles

2013 was a great year for us, here at NBK Reptiles! We launched our website and started dealing directly with the public! To thank you all for your support, I have a big announcement for you all today!

Even though we are well known for our Ball Python mutations and our Scaleless Corn Snakes, NBK Reptiles is much more then that! We believe to be one of the most diversified breeding facilities in Canada. Here is a short list of animals which we breed almost every year; Leopard Geckos, Corn Snakes, King Snakes, Milk Snakes, Rat Snakes, Spotted Pythons, Children Pythons, Macklot Pythons, Carpet Pythons, Angolan Pythons, Kenyan Sand Boas, Dumerils Boa, Colombian Boas, Central Boas, Rainbow Boas and many more as well! Some of our projects we are most excited about are our Fiji Banded Iguanas and our group of tortoises.

For the previous years, we used to sell 95-99% of our babies to wholesale and would only sell Ball Python Mutation as well as Scaleless Corn Snakes to the public! So, our big announcement for 2014 is that we will select the BEST 20% of all of our offspring’s to be available to the general public! So if you are looking for anything in particular which we might have, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will provide you with the best quality animal as well as a great service!

Again, thank you all for your support and may 2014 be a great year!
